White-labeling removes the "Powered by Deskwoot" footer from your public help center. Available on Enterprise only. Turn it on in Help Center → Settings tab → White label. The change applies instantly. Combined with a custom domain (help.yourbrand.com) and your own brand color and favicon, the help center looks fully like your product, not a Deskwoot-powered tool. Lower plans see the toggle but locked.

By default, every public help center page on Deskwoot shows a small footer at the bottom of the page that reads "Your portal name · Powered by Deskwoot". This is the same kind of attribution most help desk and knowledge base tools include on their free and lower tiers.

On the Enterprise plan you can hide the footer entirely so the help center looks fully white-labeled. Combined with a custom domain, the result is a help center that visitors cannot tell is hosted on Deskwoot.

Turning on white-label

  1. Open Help Center in the dashboard.
  2. Switch to the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the White label section and turn on Hide "Powered by Deskwoot".
  4. The change applies instantly. Open the public help center in a new tab to verify the footer is gone.

What gets hidden

  • The "Your portal name · Powered by Deskwoot" line at the bottom of every help center page.
  • The link that previously took visitors back to deskwoot.com.

The rest of the page is unaffected. Your brand color, favicon, custom domain, articles, search, and category navigation all continue to work exactly as before.

What is not affected

  • The Deskwoot login screen and dashboard. These are tools for your team and remain unchanged.
  • Outbound emails sent through Deskwoot. They use your own configured sender domain.
  • The live chat widget on your website. Its "Powered by Deskwoot" badge is controlled separately (also Enterprise) under Settings → Inboxes → your live chat inbox → Settings tab → Branding.

Plan requirements

White-label is included with the Enterprise plan. On Hacker, Startup, and Business plans the toggle is visible but locked, with a hover tooltip explaining the requirement and a link to upgrade. On a lower plan you cannot change the setting.

Combining white-label with a custom domain

White-label is most effective when combined with a custom domain such as help.yourcompany.com. With both turned on, visitors land on your domain, see your branding, and the footer no longer mentions Deskwoot. See the article Set up a custom domain for your help center for the DNS setup walkthrough.

If you want to replace the footer rather than just remove it, every plan with a help center lets you build a custom footer with up to 4 link columns and a copyright line (without white label the Powered by Deskwoot credit stays next to it). Pasting raw footer HTML to mirror your marketing site exactly needs Enterprise and an active custom domain. See Advanced help center branding for that and for favicon, custom CSS, header HTML, and web fonts.

Frequently asked questions

Does white-label hide Deskwoot from email notifications too?
It hides Deskwoot from the help center pages. Email notifications sent through Deskwoot have their own from-address settings; configure those under Inbox settings if you want them to use your domain.
What plans support white-label?
Enterprise only. Hacker, Startup, and Business plans see the toggle but locked with an upgrade prompt.
What exactly is hidden when I white-label?
The footer text '{portal name} · Powered by Deskwoot' is removed from every public page. The rest of the help center is unchanged: categories, articles and branding all stay.
Will the dashboard also be white-labeled?
No. White-label is help-center-only (customer-facing surface). The admin dashboard always shows Deskwoot branding: agents are using a tool, customers should see your brand.
Does white-label affect the chat widget too?
No. Widget branding is separate. The widget has its own 'Powered by Deskwoot' attribution, which you can hide on Enterprise in the live chat inbox's Settings tab (Branding).
Does the URL still say deskwoot.com?
Only if you don't have a custom domain. With white-label + custom domain (Enterprise unlocks both), the URL is help.yourbrand.com and no Deskwoot branding appears in the help center.
Can I add my own footer?
Yes, on every plan with a help center. The custom footer takes up to 4 columns of links (privacy, terms, social and so on) plus a copyright or legal line. Without white label the Powered by Deskwoot credit stays next to it.
Will white-label affect SEO?
Mostly neutral. The 'Powered by' link removal slightly increases the % of internal links pointing to your domain (instead of deskwoot.com). On custom domains, Google fully attributes the content to your domain authority.
Can I white-label per portal?
Each workspace has one help center, so there is one white label setting per workspace.
What if I downgrade from Enterprise?
White label is an Enterprise feature. On a lower plan the setting is locked. Article content is unaffected.
Does white-label hide our use of Deskwoot from customers entirely?
From the help-center surface, yes, Deskwoot isn't mentioned. From other surfaces: email From addresses still come from your Deskwoot-managed sender, and the chat widget's HTML has Deskwoot's domain in the embed script. Truly invisible Deskwoot integration needs a custom email-domain setup too.
Is there a per-customer white-label option (not full plan upgrade)?
No, it's an Enterprise plan benefit. The pricing reflects the value of full white-label across help center + custom domain + audit logs + custom roles + SLAs as a bundle. Cherry-picking white-label only isn't currently offered.
