EasyPost shipping tracking

The EasyPost integration brings live shipment tracking into Deskwoot so your agents can answer "where's my order?" without switching tabs. It is built in: on the Business and Enterprise plans, Deskwoot looks up the live carrier status through EasyPost for every Shopify or WooCommerce order that has a tracking number. The carrier, the current status, the estimated delivery and the tracking link show up in the conversation sidebar, right next to the customer you're replying to.

EasyPost works with 100+ carriers, so the same view covers USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and others. That means one place to check status no matter who's carrying the package.

What does the EasyPost integration do?

"Where is my order?" is one of the most common questions any support team gets. Normally answering it means leaving the helpdesk, opening a carrier site, pasting in a tracking number, and reading back what you find. The EasyPost integration removes that round trip. Tracking status appears in the sidebar of the conversation, so you can check the latest status and give the customer a straight answer in the same reply.

  • See the current shipment status (in transit, out for delivery, delivered) without leaving the conversation.
  • See which carrier is handling the package, the estimated delivery date, and a link to track the shipment.
  • Fynn uses the same live status, so it answers "where is my parcel?" with the carrier's latest status instead of the store's last update.
  • Keep everything in one screen, so handling shipping questions stays fast even at volume.

How do I connect EasyPost to Deskwoot?

There is nothing to connect on the EasyPost side: you don't need your own EasyPost account or API key, and the lookup costs nothing extra.

  1. Use the Business or Enterprise plan. Live carrier status is part of these plans.
  2. Connect your store. Go to Settings > Integrations and connect Shopify or WooCommerce.
  3. That's it. Orders with a tracking number now show the live carrier status in the conversation sidebar.

Where do I see tracking information?

Tracking shows up in the Orders section of the conversation's Details tab, the same panel where Deskwoot surfaces customer and order details. Open a conversation with a customer who has a shipped order and you'll see the carrier, the tracking number, the estimated delivery and a Track shipment link without going anywhere else.

Troubleshooting

  • No tracking is showing. Check that your Shopify or WooCommerce store is connected under Settings > Integrations and that the order has a tracking number. Live carrier status needs the Business or Enterprise plan; on other plans you see the store's own status.
  • Status looks out of date. Tracking reflects the carrier's latest scan through EasyPost. If the carrier hasn't scanned the package recently, the status won't move until they do.
  • No order for this customer. Orders are matched by the contact's email address, so make sure the customer wrote in with the email they used in your store.

Frequently asked questions

What does the EasyPost integration show me?
It shows live shipment tracking in the conversation sidebar: the carrier, the current status, the estimated delivery and the tracking link. Your agents can answer order-status questions without opening a carrier website.
Which carriers does EasyPost support?
EasyPost works with 100+ carriers, including USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, so you get one consistent tracking view regardless of who's carrying the package.
How do I connect EasyPost?
You don't need an EasyPost account or API key. On the Business or Enterprise plan, connect Shopify or WooCommerce under Settings > Integrations. Orders with a tracking number then show the live carrier status in the conversation sidebar.
Why isn't tracking updating?
Tracking reflects the carrier's most recent scan as reported through EasyPost. If the status looks stale, the carrier likely hasn't scanned the package yet. Also confirm that you're on the Business or Enterprise plan and that the order has a tracking number.
