Agent performance reports show who's doing what, how fast, and how happy customers were afterwards. You see conversations, resolved conversations, average first response time and CSAT per agent for the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Useful for spotting top performers, coaching gaps, and unbalanced workloads. The numbers are calculated each time you open the page, and administrators export them to CSV in one click.

The agent performance report in Deskwoot is a table on the main Reports page that lists productivity and quality metrics for each agent, with links to that agent's own detail page for a deeper look. It is the fastest way to see who is handling what, how quickly, and where someone might need a hand. Reporting is available on the Startup plan and above, and only administrators see the agent table.

How is the report laid out?

It is one table, one row per agent, in the Agent Performance section of the main Reports page. Each row shows the headline numbers for that agent over your selected period. Click the agent's number under Conversations (or under Resolved) to open their detail page. It shows their totals (open, pending, resolved), their average response time and CSAT score, plus the list of their conversations in the period with contact, inbox, status and response time. So the table is your overview, and the detail pages are where you go to dig in.

What metrics does it track?

  • Conversations: the conversations assigned to the agent that were created or resolved during the period.
  • Resolved: how many of those are resolved, with the share in percent.
  • Avg Response: the average time from the start of a conversation to its first reply.
  • CSAT: the satisfaction rating customers leave after a conversation is resolved. This column needs the Business plan or above, since CSAT itself is a Business+ feature configured per inbox. On Startup it will be empty. See CSAT surveys and results.

The average time to resolve is shown for the whole workspace in the cards at the top of the Reports page, not per agent.

How do I open it?

  1. Open Reports from the main sidebar.
  2. Pick the period at the top: Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days.
  3. Scroll down to the Agent Performance table.
  4. Scan the table, then click an agent's conversation count to open their detail page.

Reading the numbers fairly

  • Check regularly. A weekly or fortnightly look catches trends early instead of after the fact.
  • Account for the mix. An agent on mostly technical tickets will run longer response times than one on simple billing questions. Context first, conclusions second.
  • Pair CSAT with speed. A fast reply means little if the customer left unhappy. If you are on Startup and have no CSAT column yet, the Business plan unlocks it.
  • Mind small samples. An agent with only a few conversations can show wild averages. Sample size matters before you read anything into it.
  • Watch reassignments. A conversation counts for the agent who holds it now, including its first response time, even if a teammate replied first. Clean assignment habits keep the data honest.

Frequently asked questions

What does 'first response time' actually measure?
The time between the start of the conversation and the first reply from your team. Bot replies don't count toward this clock, because the bot's job is to handle simple things instantly without freezing the metric.
Why is my CSAT score lower than I expected?
CSAT is a self-selected sample: only customers who choose to rate respond, and unhappy customers respond more often than happy ones. Compare against industry baselines (~85% is solid for B2C support) rather than aiming for 100%.
Can I see performance per inbox?
Yes. The Reports page has the table Avg response time by channel, which shows the conversation count and the average first response time for each inbox side by side. Useful to spot if WhatsApp is slower than email or vice versa.
How do I export the report?
Click Export agent performance CSV at the top of the Reports page. The export includes per-agent rows for the selected period, ready for Excel or Google Sheets.
What counts as a conversation in the agent table?
Every conversation that is assigned to the agent now and was created or resolved in the selected period. It counts for whoever holds it, whether or not they have replied yet.
Does resolution time include reopens?
Resolution time is a workspace figure in the cards at the top, not a column of the agent table. It runs from the start of a resolved conversation to its last activity, so a conversation that was reopened and resolved again counts with its whole duration.
How often does the data refresh?
The numbers are calculated each time you open or reload the page. CSAT changes only when customers actually submit a rating.
Why are some agents missing from the report?
The table lists every person in the workspace, also with 0 conversations. Service accounts, such as the user behind the MCP server, are not listed.
Can I compare two date ranges side by side?
Not in the same view. Export both periods as CSV and compare them in a spreadsheet.
Is the data accurate when conversations get reassigned mid-thread?
Each conversation counts once, for the agent who holds it now. Its first response time counts for that agent too, even if a teammate sent the first reply. Reassignments don't double-count.
Who can see agent performance reports?
Only administrators see the agent table. On Enterprise, a custom role with View reports opens Reports, but its numbers cover only the conversations assigned to that agent, without the agent table.
Is agent performance a single report or per agent?
Both. It is a table on the main Reports page with one row per agent, and each row links to that agent's own detail page with their conversations in the period.
Why is the CSAT column empty for my agents?
CSAT per agent needs the Business plan or above, because CSAT is a Business+ feature set up per inbox. On Startup the rest of the table works, but the CSAT column stays empty.
Can I export agent performance data?
Yes. The report exports to CSV (administrators only) so you can share or analyze it in a spreadsheet. See the CSV export guide for what the file contains.
How fresh are the numbers?
They are calculated each time you open the page. CSAT only updates once customers actually submit their feedback.
Can I compare different time periods?
Yes. Switch between the last 7, 30 and 90 days and compare the periods, which is the simplest way to see whether someone is improving.
