A Deskwoot account is the workspace where your team handles every customer conversation. One account holds your inboxes, agents, AI bot, help center, integrations, and reporting in a single place. Setup takes about a minute: email plus password, no credit card. You start on a 7 day Enterprise trial (300 AI conversations, 5 seats including yours, no API tokens) so you can try the product before picking a plan.

Creating a Deskwoot account takes under a minute: visit deskwoot.com/signup and enter your name, email, and a password. You are signed in right away and can connect your first channel and start receiving customer conversations. We also send you an email to confirm your address. The process is quick and straightforward. Most users are up and running in under a minute. Below, we walk you through each step so you can get started with confidence.

Creating your Deskwoot account

  1. Visit deskwoot.com/signup in your browser.
  2. Enter your full name, your work email, and choose a password (at least 8 characters, with one uppercase letter and one number). The company name is optional.
  3. Click Start 7-day trial.
  4. You are signed in right away and land in the guided setup. It asks about your business, lets Fynn read your website and helps you connect your channels step by step. See Set up Deskwoot.
  5. Check your inbox for the confirmation email from Deskwoot and click the link inside to verify your address. Until then, a banner in the dashboard reminds you.

Naming your workspace

The company name you enter at sign-up becomes the name of your workspace. If you leave it empty, the workspace is called "Your name's Organization". Don't worry if you need to adjust it later: you can change it at any time under Settings > Account Settings (Account Name).

Choosing your plan

Deskwoot includes a free plan that supports one agent and gives you access to core features. No credit card is required to get started. When you're ready to add more agents or unlock additional capabilities, you can upgrade to a paid plan from the Billing page in your account settings.

Tips for a smooth setup

  • Use a company email address rather than a personal one. This makes team collaboration and ownership clearer as your organization grows.
  • Enter your company name at sign-up, so your team sees the right workspace name from the start.
  • Pick a strong, unique password to keep your account secure. A mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols is recommended.

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the confirmation email

Check your spam or junk folder first. If the email still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, click Resend verification email in the banner in your dashboard. Make sure you entered the correct email address during sign-up.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my email address after signing up?
Not by yourself. If you need to change your email, contact our support team.
How many organizations can I create?
Each login belongs to exactly one workspace. If you manage multiple brands and want a separate workspace for each, sign up for each one with a different email address.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. The 7-day trial is free with no card collected. We only ask for billing details when you pick a paid plan after the trial.
How long is the free trial?
7 days. Every new workspace starts on the Enterprise plan for the trial, with 300 AI conversations and 5 seats, yours included. API tokens are not included in the trial; they need a paid Enterprise plan.
Can I get another trial later?
Only one trial per account. The email address you sign up with is checked, so creating a second account with the same email reuses the existing one instead of starting a new trial.
What happens when the trial ends?
The account drops to the Hacker (free) tier automatically. Existing data stays; only the higher-tier features lock until you subscribe. No surprise charges. If more people work in the workspace than your plan has seats, the most recent agents are suspended until you add seats. Administrators never are.
Can I change the workspace name later?
Yes. Go to Settings → Account Settings and update the account name. The internal account ID stays stable so links, API tokens, and integrations don't break.
How many agents can I invite?
As many as you have seats. During the 7 day trial you have 5 seats, yours included, so you can invite up to 4 people. After the trial, the seats of your plan apply: the Hacker plan has 1 seat, and on a paid plan you pay per seat and add or remove seats at any time from Settings → Billing.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Settings → Account Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. After you confirm by email, the workspace is deleted 30 days later (or 30 days after the end of a period you already paid for). See Deleting your account.
Where is my data stored?
In the EU. Your workspace is hosted in the Netherlands, and conversations, contacts, and attachments are stored there.
Can multiple companies share one account?
Technically yes, but each company's conversations and contacts live in the same shared workspace. For full separation, use one account per company, each signed up with its own email address.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Deskwoot is a browser-based dashboard. Optional: a chat widget snippet to embed on your website, a mobile app for iPhone and Android, and the email forwarding address for your inbox channel.
Can I import data from another helpdesk?
Yes. We support direct importers for Chatwoot, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, and Crisp. Contacts, conversations, and notes come over with their timestamps preserved.
